25/10-9/11/22 Enter the Gungeon (Americanizing beam!)

The game has its charm, and it excels within its niche.

The game is called gun-geon, hinting that the funniest part is exploring the different types of guns.

The gameplay doesn't drastically change with different guns nor there are differentiated classes, making the exploration more casual. But the guns are not that easy to find, and the initial equipment is always the same, meaning that at the beginning of each round (and you'll play a lot of them, because of difficulty) starting from 5 minutes up to ten the player is stuck with low-tier, boring weapons that should be randomized, killing the same four monsters

Like them? You'll be seeing them a lot

One often finds that keys do not suffice and that ammunition runs out before long, forcing the player to once again turn to the initial gun and leave the other ones for the boss fights that resemble a lot of bullet hell games.

In the end, one is left most of the game with basic, dull, low-tier weapons, which suggests that ammunition should either be replenished before the boss fight or the function should be removed.

As for the meta-progress, using "hegemony" currency that's dropped decreasingly by the bosses to buy new types of weapons should also be removed or heavily modified.

An average player, finds that each upgrade take about an hour to purchase, and there's a chain of undesirable items that need to be purchased before actually getting the ones you want, making the whole function feel sluggish and unrewarding

The difficulty of the game would rate slightly hardcore, meaning that a more skilled player should have many problems completing it. Between the low intelligence AI, the bullet hell bosses, the handicaps at the time of getting new weapons, and the problems with the distribution of resources, coupled with the high-dynamics gameplay and a good variety of weapons Enter the Gungeon would do much better as a co-op game, or a PvP game than a singleplayer.

As a single player, I rate it a 6/10, very fun at first, very dull few days after

(Edit 2024: Based on future experiences, if I managed to complete the game it probably isn't "hardcore" and skilled players shouldn't have problems completing it)
