Game with a lot of promise and little delivery.
There are at least a hundred spells, seemingly different from each other, and more than a hundred relics that boost the character somehow.
Five elements counter each other, sort of like Pokemon. The tone isn't serious and there is no real plot, just hacking and slashing through the gymnasiums.
Aesthetically speaking, the game is great.
Functionally speaking, the game is a bore. The low-level mobs stunlock you and you have to kite them, out of the three shops in each level, given the amount of gold harvested through the level only one or two items can be bought.
The cursed relics can be dropped but you can't read the description, so you can't know if you're picking a run ruiner or not.
The spells have very slow rotation mid-run so whatever you chose at the begging you'll be stuck with, meaning that you'll fare well in one level, with no advantages in two and disadvantages in the other two.
The bosses are overpowered and cannot be beaten if not at full health and with at least two countering spells, both factors depending mostly on luck.
The meta progress is severely nerfed and barely affects the run if it does at all. This summarizes as repetitive runs with little progress and button-smashing combat that give you, what, three hours of fun? 3/10
