The game seems unfinished by all means.
At first, it seems like the "puny humans' life" is worth naught, yet early on you discover that there's some level-up system that screws that concept.
Human lives are valuable because in the latter stages when a human dies is simply impossible to replace it and you have to start again. Also, it's very hard to keep track of the characters' health, which makes them prone to death.
Despot emphasized how important troop positioning is, but by default, basic positions are the only strategy possible against an unknown enemy on an unknown floor layout in which you'll run out of food if you spend too long. 3.5/10
