Cult of the Lamb (The real reason behind Jim Jones kill-punch)

 It's annoying how similar is this game to the binding of Isacc, how it forces you to use weapons that you don't like, how repetitive the enemy attacks and designs are, how half the tarot cards are completely useless, how similar is the region boss to the region minions, how unimaginative the upgrades are, how basic and unvaried the dungeons itself and the "rogue-like/dungeon crawler" path are.

 All these tiny details are bad enough, but the actual problem lies in the "cult" part, the one that allegedly made the game different. 

First and foremost, you are not a cult leader. You are a nursing home employee, working for the guy that will ultimately kill you. You plant the crops, you water the crops, you harvest the crops, you cook, and you clean the shit the cult members leave behind, and you can't leave for long to explore because they start dissenting and threatening to leave the cult, claiming to have "seen through your lies" (whatever those lies are) oblivious of the fact that you save their scrawny ass from certain death.

 As for the cult itself, you have no saying in its development. The sermons contain no words, the doctrines are not optative, and the members are too stupid to be considered sapient.

 We are not talking of just the typical stupid who defecate on the floor next to the toilet instead of doing it in the toilet, which also happens, but the kind of stupid where reading their minds, a power you acquire, yields no results.

 And you are bound to these "disciples" like a chain ball, having to spend hours and hours doing the same monotonous actions that you'd expect from a parodic title like "office worker simulator" (speculative) for the sake of some drooling retards. 

The "exceptional writing" some of my predecessors speak of is nowhere to be seen. I don't know what standards they have, but just mixing some sort of cryptic messages about "the one who awaits below" (quite a mouthful) to have been one of the bishops that now you are fighting but got too cocky and wanted to play god only to get chained in the cosmic basement doesn't seem very exceptional to me.

 Hell, I think the erotic web novel "My Yandere Sister Wants To Have Sex Badly And Only I Know It" written by a 14yo incestuous Asian kid has more substance than the cult of the lamb "lore" 5/10
